Payphone Hits are worth unlocking if you want short jobs that fit between other activities in GTA Online. Franklin handles the calls, and you handle the targets. Whether you're browsing GTA 5 Accounts or working through an existing character's progress, the requirement is the same: own an Agency and finish three Security Contracts. You don't need to complete the VIP Contract storyline first. The useful part comes after your first successful hit, when requesting another assignment becomes much easier than driving around hoping to hear a telephone ring.
Follow the instructions for the bigger payout
The target alone isn't where most of the money comes from. A completed hit pays $15,000, while meeting Franklin's assassination bonus conditions adds $30,000. That's $45,000 altogether. Read the instructions before charging in. One assignment might call for a taxi; another could involve a scoped rifle, explosives, or construction equipment. Get the method wrong and you'll miss the extra payment. The ten-minute cooldown also means these jobs work better as part of a rotation, rather than something you repeat without doing anything else.

Buy the property that actually unlocks Franklin
Open your character's phone browser and visit Dynasty Eight Executive. Look for Agencies, not executive offices. It's an easy distinction to miss, but an office won't unlock these assignments. Little Seoul, Vespucci Canals, Rockford Hills, and Hawick all offer Agency locations. Choose somewhere you'll enjoy returning to, especially while you're completing the initial jobs. You can leave the decorative extras and optional facilities alone for now. The base purchase is what matters here, so there's no need to spend more just to reach the payphone work.
Clear three Security Contracts
Inside your Agency, head to the office computer and register as a CEO or Motorcycle Club President before using it. Select Security Contracts rather than the VIP storyline. You can complete the required three alone in a private session or bring friends along. Available work includes recovering vehicles or valuables, rescuing clients, protecting assets, and eliminating hostile groups. There's roughly a five-minute wait between contracts. Pick jobs you're comfortable finishing instead of chasing the largest displayed payment and getting stuck on an assignment you don't enjoy.

Watch for a ringing payphone.
Make the first call count
After the unlock notification, return to free mode and watch for a flashing handset icon near a ringing payphone. Stay registered as a CEO or Motorcycle Club President when answering and completing that first assignment. Afterward, call Franklin and use the request option for future hits. If you're comparing cheap GTA 5 Accounts, don't assume this progression has already been completed. Check the Agency access yourself, then use the waiting time between hits for another activity rather than standing beside the phone.
